Ingredients



- 2 cups ground pork
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions



1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, onion, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, ginger, and Chinese five-spice powder. Mix well and set aside.

2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork mixture and cook, stirring often, until the pork is cooked through and no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.

3. Add the carrots and green onions to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring often.

4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the pork filling to cool before using to fill the bao buns.

Serving



Once the filling is prepared, it can be used to fill steamed bao buns. Bao buns can be found in most Asian markets or can be made at home. To serve, fill each bao bun with a generous amount of the pork filling and serve warm. Enjoy!
