Ingredients

- Soak the chickpeas overnight. Pressure cook them for 4-5 whistles and allow it to cool.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and oil. Knead the dough with water and leave it aside for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once the seeds begin to splutter, add the coriander powder, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and Kasuri methi. Fry for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree and the cooked chickpeas. Mix well and cook for 15-20 minutes. Add the chopped onion, green chillies, and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into thin circles.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the bhature until they turn golden brown. Do the same with the remaining dough.
- Serve hot with the prepared chole, onions, and lemon wedges.
