Instructions



1. Wash the mustard greens, spinach leaves, bathua leaves, and fenugreek leaves thoroughly under running water.
2. Chop the leaves into small pieces and set aside.
3. Heat the butter in a pan on medium heat.
4. Add cumin seeds and fry for a few seconds.
5. Add garlic and onion and fry until the onion is translucent.
6. Add the chopped greens and mix well.
7. Cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.
8. Add the ginger, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and garam masala powder and mix well.
9. Add salt to taste and mix well.
10. Add a little water and cover the pan with a lid.
11. Simmer the mixture on low heat for 15 minutes.
12. Remove the lid and stir the mixture.
13. Simmer for another 5 minutes until the saag has a thick consistency.
14. Serve the Sarson Ka Saag hot with makki di roti.
