Ingredients

  • 1 cup Toor Dal

  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups Wheat Flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions

First, you’ll want to prepare the dal. Wash the toor dal and add it to the Instant Pot along with the turmeric powder, ghee, and 3 cups of water. Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release.

Next, turn on the sauté mode and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Sauté for a few minutes until the spices become fragrant. Then, add the cooked dal and stir to combine.

To make the wheat flour pasta, mix the wheat flour, oil, and a pinch of salt together in a bowl. Slowly add in water and knead the dough until it’s smooth and pliable. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a circle. Cut the circles into thin strips and add them to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes on high pressure. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release.

Finally, add the sugar and chopped coriander leaves to the dal and stir to combine. Serve the dal dhokli warm and enjoy!
