Instructions
First, you’ll want to prepare the dal. Wash the toor dal and add it to the Instant Pot along with the turmeric powder, ghee, and 3 cups of water. Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes. Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release.
Next, turn on the sauté mode and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Sauté for a few minutes until the spices become fragrant. Then, add the cooked dal and stir to combine.
