Onion Bhaji Recipe with Plain Flour
Ingredients
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 2 tablespoons of gram flour
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together the plain flour, gram flour, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala. Add the ginger-garlic paste and the water and mix together to form a thick batter. Add the chopped onions and mix together until the onions are evenly coated in the batter.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add a spoonful of the onion bhaji mixture and spread it out in the pan. Fry for a few minutes until the edges are golden brown. Flip the bhaji over and fry for a few minutes on the other side until it is golden brown. Remove from the pan and place the bhaji on a plate lined with paper towels.
