Make Mary Berry Savoury Mince Pie For A Delicious Snack!

Ingredients
- 500g of mincemeat
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 sheets of ready-rolled puff pastry
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200°C.
Step 2
In a pan, heat the olive oil and add the onion and garlic. Cook until they are softened and lightly browned. Add the mincemeat and cook until it is heated through. Add the herbs and seasonings and mix until combined.
Step 3
Lay out one sheet of pastry on a lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the pastry out to a thickness of about 5mm. Cut the pastry into a circle of about 25cm in diameter. Place the pastry onto a lightly greased baking tray.
Step 4
Spoon the mincemeat mixture onto the pastry circle, leaving a 2cm border around the edge. Place the second sheet of pastry over the top and press down the edges to seal. Brush the top of the pastry with the beaten egg.
Step 5
Bake the mince pie in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
