Delicious Bread and Butter Croissant Pudding
Ingredients
For this bread and butter pudding, you will need:
- Six croissants, slightly stale is best
- 80g of butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 200ml of whole milk
- 200ml of double cream
- 50g of caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 50g of raisins
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan, gas mark 4).
Step 2: Prepare the croissants
Cut your croissants into cubes and place them into a greased oven-proof dish. Pour the melted butter over the croissants and mix everything together until the cubes are evenly coated.
Step 3: Make the custard
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract and ground cinnamon until everything is well combined.
Step 4: Assemble the pudding
Pour the custard mixture over the croissants and add the raisins. Gently mix everything together until all the croissant cubes are evenly coated.
Step 5: Bake
Place the pudding into the oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
