Ingredients
To make this delicious Ferrero Rocher and Strawberry Cake, you will need:
- 2/3 cup (160 ml) of vegetable oil
- 2 cups (200 g) of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup (200 g) of white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) of plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) of fresh strawberry puree
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) of strawberry jam
- 12 Ferrero Rocher candies
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) cake pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the oil, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Add in the eggs, one at a time, whisking until combined. Add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth. Finally, add in the yogurt, cream, and strawberry puree, and mix until everything is incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Spread the strawberry jam over the top of the cake and then place the Ferrero Rocher candies on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
