Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) and grease and line a 20cm round cake tin.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding a tablespoon of the self-raising flour with each egg.
4. Sift in the remaining flour and baking powder and fold into the mixture.
5. Dissolve the coffee in a tablespoon of hot water and add to the mixture along with the walnuts and cocoa powder.
6. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
7. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
