Ingredients
Butter chicken is one of the most popular Indian dishes that is loved throughout the world. To make this mouth-watering dish in your Instant Pot, you will need the following ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons of oil
• 1 tablespoon of butter
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 4 cloves of garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger, grated
• 4 tablespoons of tomato paste
• 1 teaspoon of garam masala
• 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon of turmeric
• 2 teaspoons of paprika

Instructions
To make butter chicken in your Instant Pot, start by turning it on and setting it to the sauté setting. When it is hot, add the oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the onions, garlic, and ginger and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onions are softened and lightly browned.
Next, add the tomato paste, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, paprika, cayenne pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg and stir to combine. Cook for another minute, until the spices are fragrant.
Add the cubed chicken and stir to coat in the spices. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine. Place the lid on the Instant Pot, making sure the valve is set to “sealing”. Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.
When the cooking time is up, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release pressure for 10 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure. Open the lid and stir in the heavy cream and honey. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then garnish with chopped cilantro. Serve with cooked basmati or jasmine rice.
