  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, 1/4 cup of the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, thyme, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix together until all ingredients are blended. Place mixture in the prepared loaf pan.

In a small bowl, mix together the remaining 1/2 cup of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Spread the ketchup mixture over the top of the meatloaf. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature of the loaf reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Let the meatloaf stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
