Instructions



1. Preheat your oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.
2. Heat the oil in a large pan over a medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for a few minutes until softened.
3. Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
4. Add the peppers, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce to the pan and mix well. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Grease a 12-hole muffin tin with butter.
7. Cut the pastry into 12 circles, slightly larger than the muffin holes.
8. Place the pastry circles into the muffin holes and press down lightly.
9. Divide the mince mixture into the pastry cases.
10. Place a lid of pastry on top of each mince pie. Use a fork to crimp the edges of the pastry together.
11. Brush the tops of the pies with a little beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
12. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
13. Allow the pies to cool slightly before serving.
