How Long Do You Bake Malt Loaf
Baked Malt Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
This malt loaf recipe is simple and easy to make at home with pantry ingredients. For this recipe you will need:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup cold brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup malt extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, cloves, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the light brown sugar, dark brown sugar, eggs, coffee, oil, molasses and malt extract until well combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the malt loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
