Ingredients



For this Swiss Roll recipe, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of raspberry jam

Instructions



To make this delicious Swiss Roll, follow these instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease and line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the vanilla extract and mix to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a flat surface and sprinkle with a little bit of powdered sugar. Flip the cake onto the parchment paper. Peel off the parchment paper from the bottom of the cake.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and melted butter. Brush the mixture onto the top of the cake. Spread the raspberry jam onto the cake, leaving a 1/2 inch border around the edges.
  • Starting at one of the short ends, roll the cake tightly. Place the cake seam-side down onto a baking sheet. Dust the top of the cake with powdered sugar. Slice and serve.
