Ingredients

Instructions

To make the dough, add the flour and yeast to the bowl and mix together, then add the salt and olive oil. With the wooden spoon, mix the ingredients together until they form a rough dough. When all the ingredients are combined, cover the bowl with greaseproof paper and leave it to one side for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, tip the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and knead it for 5 minutes. The dough should be soft, elastic, and slightly sticky to the touch. If it feels too dry, add a teaspoon of olive oil and continue kneading. When it's ready, shape the dough into a ball and leave it to rest on the work surface for another 15 minutes, covered with a clean tea towel.

Once the dough has rested, it's ready to be rolled out and topped with your favourite toppings. Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas 7, then roll out your pizza dough and place it on a baking sheet. Spread your chosen toppings over the base, then bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. Enjoy!
