Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 pound pasta of your choice
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the Italian seasoning, tomato sauce, white wine, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Once the sauce is done, add the cooked pasta to the pot and toss to combine. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
