Japchae Korean Glass Noodles Recipe

Ingredients



* 1 lb. dangmyeon (Korean sweet potato noodles)
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup sesame oil
* 1/4 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup vegetable oil
* 1/4 cup Korean pear or apple juice
* 1/4 cup onion, diced
* 1/4 cup carrot, julienned
* 1/4 cup green cabbage, julienned
* 1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
* 1/4 cup bell peppers, julienned
* 1/4 cup spinach, julienned
* 1/4 cup beef, thinly sliced
* 1/4 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
* 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Instructions



1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the dangmyeon noodles according to package instructions. Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water. Set aside.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, vegetable oil, Korean pear or apple juice, and onion.

3. Heat a large skillet over high heat and add the carrot, cabbage, mushrooms, bell peppers, spinach, beef, and shrimp. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Add the noodles and the sauce mixture to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top and serve. Enjoy!
