Instructions

Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease two 8-inch round cake pans. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the sour cream, and mix until combined. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely.

Frosting

In a medium bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add the confectioners' sugar and mix until combined. Add the blueberry preserves and mix until combined. Spread the frosting onto the top of one of the cooled cakes. Place the other cake on top of the frosted cake.

Chocolate Drip

In a medium bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and heavy cream for 30 seconds, stirring after each 10 seconds. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Allow the chocolate to cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the cooled chocolate over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
