Ingredients

  • 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 pound of short pasta such as penne, bow tie, or rotini
  • 1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Begin by preheating your oven to 375 degrees. Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Add in the garlic and Italian seasoning and cook for another minute or two. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Place the pasta in a large pot of boiling water and cook al dente according to the package instructions.

In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread 1/2 of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Add the cooked pasta and top with the sautéed chicken. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with a side salad and enjoy!
