Ingredients

In order to make Biryani Lamb, you will need the following ingredients: 2 tablespoons of oil, 1 diced onion, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 2 teaspoons of ground cumin, 1 teaspoon of ground coriander, 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamom, 2 cups of basmati rice, 2 cups of water, 2 cups of diced lamb, 1/2 cup of frozen peas, and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh coriander leaves.

Instructions

Start by heating the oil in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and fry for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the ground ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, chilli powder, and cardamom. Fry for a further 2 minutes, stirring often. Add the basmati rice and stir to coat the rice grains in the spices. Add the water and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.

Once the rice is cooked, add the diced lamb and frozen peas. Stir to combine and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until the lamb is cooked through. Finally, stir through the chopped coriander leaves and serve.

This Biryani Lamb is a nutritious and delicious dish. It is high in protein and low in fat, making it a healthy and satisfying meal. It is also a good source of dietary fibre, vitamins, and minerals.
