Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak, kidney, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring often, until the meat is browned and the onion is softened, about 8 minutes. Add the flour, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, thyme, pepper, and salt, and cook, stirring constantly until combined. Add the beef broth, bring to a simmer, and reduce the heat to low. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Stir in the butter, parsley, and frozen peas. Transfer the mixture to an ovenproof dish.
Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and place it over the top of the dish, pressing the edges to seal. Cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape. Roll out the second sheet of pastry and cut into strips. Place the strips over the top of the pastry in a lattice pattern. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. Let cool slightly before serving.
