Original Recipe For Anzac Biscuits
What Are Anzac Biscuits?
Ingredients
To make Anzac Biscuits, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1 cup of dessicated coconut
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 125g of butter
- 2 tablespoons of golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Instructions
To make Anzac Biscuits, preheat your oven to 180°C and line two baking trays with baking paper. In a medium bowl, mix together the oats, coconut, flour, and sugar. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and golden syrup together over a low heat. Once the butter and syrup have melted, add the baking soda and stir until fully combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until fully combined.
Take spoonfuls of the mixture and roll into balls. Place the balls onto the baking trays, leaving a few centimetres between each ball. Flatten the balls slightly with the back of a spoon. Bake the biscuits for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Allow the biscuits to cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
