Delicious 1 Kg Mutton Curry Recipe

Ingredients

This delicious mutton curry is made up of 1 kg mutton, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste, 1 tablespoon red chili powder, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon garam masala, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon coriander, 1 teaspoon fennel, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 tablespoons tomato paste, 2 tablespoons oil, 1/4 cup yogurt, and 1/4 cup of water. Salt, to taste.

Instructions

To begin, take the mutton and wash it thoroughly under running water. In a large bowl, add 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, 1 tablespoon of red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1 teaspoon of coriander, 1 teaspoon of fennel, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix these ingredients together until they form a paste.

In a large pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onions and sauté until they are lightly browned. Add the mutton and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Once the mutton is cooked, add the spice paste and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes and then add the tomato paste and yogurt. Stir to combine and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and stir to combine. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pan. Simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Once the mutton is cooked through, remove the pan from the heat and season with salt, to taste. Serve hot with steamed rice.
