  • 8 ounces of sausage meat
  • ¼ cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

To make these tasty Air Fryer Scotch Eggs, start by boiling the eggs. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes. Remove the eggs from the heat and place them in a bowl of cold water to cool. Once the eggs are cool, carefully peel them.

Take the sausage meat and divide it into 8 even portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then flatten it out with your hands. Place each egg into the middle of the flattened sausage meat and then wrap the sausage meat around the egg to form a ball. Make sure the egg is completely covered with the sausage meat.

In one shallow bowl, mix together the flour, breadcrumbs and olive oil. In another shallow bowl, beat the eggs. Dip each sausage-covered egg first into the egg mixture and then into the flour and breadcrumb mixture. Make sure the egg is completely coated in the mixture.

Preheat the air fryer to 390°F. Place the scotch eggs into the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 10 minutes. Flip the eggs halfway through the cooking time. Once the eggs are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and season with salt and pepper to taste.
