  • 1 teaspoon green chilies (chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup curd (beaten)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions



To make this delicious dish, here are the steps you need to follow:

Preparing the Kofta



In a bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, grated cauliflower, grated carrots, boiled peas, chopped cashew nuts, and cornstarch. Season with salt and mix well. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a round ball. Heat oil in a kadhai and deep-fry the koftas until golden brown. Once done, drain them on an absorbent paper and keep aside.

Making the Gravy



Heat the butter in a pan and add cumin seeds. When they crackle, add the garlic and ginger and sauté for a few minutes. Now add the green chilies, garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for about a minute.

Add the beaten curd and cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add the fried koftas and mix gently. Cover the pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes. Add salt to taste and mix well.

Serving



Garnish the Malai Kofta Sanjeev Kapoor with some chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati, paratha, or roti.
