1. Begin by bringing a large pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add the chow mein noodles and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the noodles are tender. Drain the noodles and set aside.

2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook, stirring frequently, for about 3 minutes.

3. Add the carrots, celery and frozen peas and cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.

4. Add the cooked noodles, baby corn, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes.
