Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry until the raw smell disappears. Add the mutton and fry for 5 minutes. Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and curd. Mix everything well and cook the mutton until it is tender.

Meanwhile, soak the basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. Heat a pot of water and add the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and salt. When the water boils, add the soaked basmati rice to it and cook until it is 80% done. Drain the excess water and keep aside.
