How To Prepare Methi Paratha
Ingredients
To make methi paratha, you will need some basic ingredients: 2 cups of wheat flour, ΒΌ cup of methi leaves, 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder, and 2 tablespoons of ghee.
Instructions
To start making the methi paratha, first wash the methi leaves and mix it with the wheat flour and salt. Now knead the dough with enough water and 1 tablespoon of oil. Once the dough is ready, divide it into 6 to 8 equal portions and make small balls. Take one ball at a time and roll it out into a thin circle. Now place the circle on a hot tawa and cook it on both the sides until it turns golden brown. Once the paratha is cooked, spread some ghee on the top and serve it hot.
Tips
You can also add some finely chopped onions, green chillies and coriander leaves to the dough for added flavor. You can also use some oil or butter instead of ghee. If the parathas are not getting cooked properly, you can sprinkle some water on the tawa and then cook them. You can also replace the wheat flour with whole wheat flour or millet flour or even jowar flour.
