- 2 cups of self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoons of black treacle
- 2 tablespoons of golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon of ground allspice

- 1/2 cup of Demerara sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk

Instructions
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9-inch (23 cm) loaf tin. In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour, black treacle, golden syrup, allspice, ginger, mixed spice, baking powder and Demerara sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, malt extract and vegetable oil until combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until blended. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 45-50 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
