Ingredients

This delicious and easy-to-make beef mince meat pie recipe is the perfect lunch or dinner for the entire family. To get started, you’ll need the following ingredients: 500g lean beef mince, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of beef stock powder, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 sheets of ready-rolled puff pastry, and 1 egg. You will also need some salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

Start by preheating your oven to 200°C (392°F). In a large frypan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the mince, stirring until browned. Once browned, add the onion, carrot, and tomato paste, stirring until the vegetables are softened. Add the Worcestershire sauce, beef stock powder, and some salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mince is cooked through.

Next, take a 20cm (8-inch) pie dish and line it with your ready-rolled puff pastry. Take the mince mixture and spoon it into the dish. Place the second sheet of puff pastry over the top and press the edges together to seal. Finally, use a knife to make a small cross in the middle of the pastry and brush with the egg. Place the pie in the oven and cook for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.

Serving
