Ingredients
For this recipe you will need:
- 2 cups Arborio rice
- 2 cups warm chicken stock
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 cup of cooked, chopped ham
- 1/2 cup of cooked, chopped bacon
- 1/2 cup of cooked, chopped sausage
- 1/4 cup of cooked, chopped onions
- 1/4 cup of cooked, chopped bell peppers
- 1/4 cup of cooked, chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of marinara sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer to 380 °F.
2. In a large saucepan, bring the chicken stock to a boil. Add the rice and reduce the heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender, about 20 minutes.
3. Remove the rice from the heat and stir in the parmesan cheese, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, and black pepper.
4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, ham, bacon, sausage, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. Mix until everything is well combined.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the panko bread crumbs, all-purpose flour, egg, and olive oil.
6. Shape the rice mixture into small balls (about 1-2 inches in diameter). Dip each ball into the egg mixture and then into the panko bread crumbs. Place the balls on a plate.
7. Place the balls into the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
8. Serve the Arancini Balls with marinara sauce. Enjoy!
