Ingredients
- 200g Paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese), cubed
- 2 cups Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger, chopped
- 2 teaspoons Garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Cream
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat. Add the ginger and garlic, and sauté for a few minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Add the turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder, and stir for a few seconds.
Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes are softened. Add a little water if the mixture starts to stick to the bottom of the pan.
Add the paneer cubes and mix gently to combine. Add a little water if the mixture is too dry. Simmer for a few minutes until the paneer is cooked through. Add salt to taste.
Finally, add the cream and stir to combine. Simmer for a few minutes, then turn off the heat.
Serve the Paneer Butter Masala with naan, paratha, or rice.
