For the burgers:
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 hamburger buns
For the BBQ Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
To make the burgers, mix the ground pork, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper and salt in a large bowl. Using your hands, mix together until everything is evenly incorporated. Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Remove from the heat and set aside.
To make the BBQ sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper and cayenne pepper. Stir until everything is combined, then turn the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and set aside.
To assemble the burgers, spread some of the BBQ sauce on the bottom of each hamburger bun. Place a burger patty on each bun, then top with more BBQ sauce and the top of the bun. Serve immediately.
