Instructions

2. Add the asafoetida, ginger-garlic paste, and green chillies. Fry for a few minutes.
3. Add the toor dal and stir to mix. Add the tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, ghee, and enough water to make a soft dough. Divide the dough into small balls.
5. When the dal is cooked, add the wheat flour balls and stir to mix. Cover and cook for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapatis or rice.
