Best Chicken Ala King Recipe Jamie Oliver

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of olive oil
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
2 teaspoons of dried thyme
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
200g of mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons of plain flour
400ml of chicken stock
150ml of double cream
4 tablespoons of sherry

Instructions

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and thyme and cook for 5 minutes until softened. Add the chicken and mushrooms and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Sprinkle over the flour and stir to combine before adding the stock, cream and sherry. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Season to taste.
