How to Make The Best Prawn Cocktail
Ingredients
- 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 3 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
- 2 tablespoons chopped dill
- 4 large lettuce leaves, shredded
- 4 slices of lemon, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Add the prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are cooked through.
- Add the white wine and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes, until the wine has reduced and the prawns are fully cooked.
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, paprika, parsley, chives, and dill. Mix until combined.
- Divide the lettuce between four plates and spoon the prawns onto each plate. Drizzle the dressing over the prawns and top with a slice of lemon.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
