Ingredients


For the kofta:

  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon kasuri methi
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Making the kofta

In a mixing bowl, add grated boiled potatoes, grated paneer, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala powder, salt and red chili powder. Mix all the ingredients together and knead it into a soft dough. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and deep fry them in hot oil until they turn golden brown in color. Keep aside.

Making the gravy

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once the cumin seeds begin to splutter, add the ginger-garlic paste and chopped onions and sauté for a few minutes. Now add the red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and mix well. Add 1 cup of water and let it come to a boil. Add the kasuri methi and cream and mix well. Add the fried koftas and mix gently. Add the chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste. Serve hot with roti or paratha.
