Authentic Italian Chicken Parmigiana Recipe

This delicious Italian classic is sure to be a hit with the whole family! To make the perfect Chicken Parmigiana you will need the following ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 2 cups of Italian-style breadcrumbs, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 eggs, 2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 cups of tomato sauce, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, in a shallow bowl combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. In another shallow bowl, beat the 2 eggs. Dip the chicken breasts in the flour, then the beaten eggs, then the breadcrumb and cheese mixture. Place the chicken breasts in a greased baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the oven and spread the tomato sauce over the top. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top of the chicken and tomato sauce. Place back in the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with a side of your favorite pasta and enjoy!
