Ingredients

To prepare this Andhra Style Vegetable Biryani, you need the following ingredients: Basmati rice, ghee, oil, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaves, onions, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, green chillies, garam masala powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, mixed vegetables, lemon juice and salt as per taste.

Instructions

This Andhra Style Vegetable Biryani is a simple and easy to make recipe. To begin with, firstly wash and soak the basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. Heat ghee and oil in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves and bay leaves. Once the spices are sautéed, add finely chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and finely chopped green chillies. Sauté till the onions turn golden brown. Now add tomatoes and mix it well. Cook till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy. Add garam masala powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, mixed vegetables and salt as per taste. Now add the soaked basmati rice and mix it well. Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook the rice for 2 whistles. Once the rice is cooked, add lemon juice and mix it gently. Your Andhra Style Vegetable Biryani is now ready to be served.
