Instructions
1. Begin by preparing the roti dough. In a bowl, mix together the whole wheat flour, ghee, and salt. Add the water and knead the mixture into a soft dough. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the dal filling. In a pan, heat the ghee and add the dal. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, and salt. Stir the mixture and cook until the dal is heated through. Once done, set aside the prepared dal.
3. Take the dough and divide it into small portions. Roll out each portion of dough into a thin disc. Place a spoonful of the prepared dal in the center of the disc. Now, fold the edges of the disc and roll it out again.
4. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the prepared missi roti on the tawa and cook until both sides are golden brown.
5. Serve the missi roti with leftover dal hot with any accompaniment of your choice.
