Ingredients

For the base:

  • 1 sleeve of graham crackers.
  • 6 tablespoons of butter.

  • 1 can of condensed milk.
  • 2 ripe bananas.

  • 2 tablespoons of brown sugar.
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg.
  • 1 teaspoon of water.

Instructions

Boil Condensed Milk In Can

The first step to making a delicious banoffee pie is to boil the condensed milk in a can. To do this, you will need to remove the label from the can and place it in a large pot. Fill the pot with enough water to cover the can completely. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 3-4 hours. Make sure to check the water level every 30 minutes, and add more if needed. Once the condensed milk has been boiled, you can remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.

Prepare the Base

Once the condensed milk has cooled, you can start to prepare the base for the banoffee pie. Begin by crushing the graham crackers in a food processor until they are finely ground. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl and mix in the melted butter and salt. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
