Egg Tofu With Minced Pork Recipe



Egg Tofu with Minced Pork is a classic Chinese dish that’s made with silken tofu, pork mince and eggs. It’s a simple dish that’s packed with flavour and texture. It’s a great dish to serve up for a family meal or to take along to a potluck. It’s also a great way to use up any leftover tofu you have in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of silken tofu
  • 1/2 lb of minced pork
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of water

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients



Start by preparing all of your ingredients. Drain the tofu and cut it into cubes. In a bowl, combine the minced pork, soy sauce, sugar, white pepper and cornstarch mixture. Mix well and set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs.

Step 2: Cook the Tofu and Pork



In a large wok or pan, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add in the garlic and onion and cook until fragrant. Then add in the pork mixture and stir-fry until the pork is cooked through. Then add in the tofu and stir-fry until all the ingredients are well combined.

Step 3: Add the Eggs



Lower the heat to medium and pour the eggs into the wok. Gently stir-fry the eggs until they are cooked. Make sure not to over mix the eggs as you don’t want them to break apart.

Step 4: Serve



Once the eggs are cooked, transfer the Egg Tofu with Minced Pork to a serving plate. Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!
